CLASS is the number given to a specific competition: Class 41 Vegetables, Class 42 Fruits etc.

SECTION is an item within a Class (e.g. Class 41, Section # 1 - Beans, bush yellow.

RULES & REGULATIONS

  1. General Rules #1-26 of Kingston Fall Fair where applicable. 

  2. All exhibitors entering the adult classes 41, 42, 43, 44, and 45 must pay the $5 membership fee.

  3. Youth exhibitors cannot enter into Adult Class 41, Class 42, Class 43, Class 44, and Class 45.

Youth membership is FREE. Youth Classes 46, 47, 48 & 49: (ages 5-17 only)

Group A - 5 years of age up to 11 years as of January 1, 2026

Group B - 12 years of age up to 17 years as of January 1, 2026

MUST include A or B and the exhibitor’s age on the entry tag.

If group and age is not on the entry tag may be disqualified.

  1. Only one entry in a section.

  2. Where more than one member, such as a husband, wife, or brother and sister, jointly maintain a garden, only one entry may be made in a section.

  3. All entries must be grown by the exhibitor unless otherwise specified. Anyone violating this rule will forfeit all prizes won and will be barred from further competition at any time.

  4. Flowers must be shown in suitable containers. No tin cans or jars with labels. Potted plants should be in a clean pot, free of insects or insect damage.

  5. Exhibitors are requested not to loiter in the area once they have placed their exhibits.

  6. No Exhibitor will be entitled to a prize, unless it possesses points of merit and no award will be made to unworthy exhibits, even though there may be only one entry in the class.

  7. Houseplants must have been grown by the exhibitor for at least three (3) months.

  8. Where a specific number of specimens is required for an exhibit, a greater or smaller number will disqualify the exhibit.

  9. Any bud showing colour will be counted as a bloom.

  10. Due care will be taken of the exhibitor’s property, but no responsibility will be taken for loss or damage. Supervision cannot be maintained at all times.

  11. Any omissions will be corrected for next year.

  12. Youth Classes: Include the exhibitor’s group and age on the entry tag.

2ND - $10.00
3RD - $5 unless otherwise stated.
