FRONTENAC 4-H ASSOCIATION
Frontenac County has been home to the 4-H program for almost a century. 4-H is noted for emphasizing qualities such as leadership and responsibility, training effective speakers, developing life skills, instilling a sense of community, and offering opportunities such as camps and scholarships. Cloverbuds is offered for 6-8 year olds, as well as the regular 4-H program for 9-21 year olds. Each club is led by a minimum of 2 screened, trained volunteers. There is an annual membership fee.

4-H Achievement programs and competitions held at Kingston Fair are closed to the public-- only registered 4-H members can participate. But spectators are more than welcome!
Programs available at individual events.
Thursday-Sunday: Poster exhibits. 4-H garden and photography entries are included in the fair competition displays.
Saturday: 4-H Day at the Fair!
9:00 AM: Swine Achievement Program
9:30 AM: Beef Achievement Program in the Bracken Barn
12:30 PM: Dairy Heifer Achievement Program in the Bracken Barn
3:30 PM: Overall Championship Livestock Competition in the Bracken Barn (Top 2 competitors from each of the commodities compete for this coveted title.)
6:00 PM: 4H Auction
Tie-Up Competition: All livestock clubs set up a display for their project animals. These are judged on originality, cleanliness, and the knowledge/attitude of the members. The winner is announced mid-afternoon on Saturday.
In the evening, plan to attend the 4-H Barrow and Steer Auction.
